Wicked cool website

I've always wanted to use the phrase "wicked-cool," and now I finally have an excuse. This website is called Band to Band.com, and I love it! They specialize in musical "family trees" (an obvious example is someone like Eric Clapton, who was in the Yardbirds, Cream, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers, Blind Faith, and Derek and the Dominoes). You can plug in a band or artist and see a family tree displayed.

But what's really cool is that, over on the right-hand side, under "create map," you can see how many degrees of separation there are between two artists. For example, the chain from The Replacements to Phish is 7 steps long. The only problem is that it's a work in progress- there are a lot of artists who aren't in the database yet. (Stevie Wonder's not in there, for Jeepers Creepers' sake!)
