Stocking the blog
In about 14 hours, I'm hopping a plane for a week-long getaway to Playa del Carmen. The plan is quite simple: sun (it's supposed to be 91 degrees there tomorrow; when we board our plane to depart Minneapolis at 6 AM, it's going to be -5 degrees), relaxation, scuba diving, daquiris, awesome grub, tequila, and more sun. I'm going to try and avoid all American news, and ignore the Web the entire time I'm gone.
So, I'm going to try and load up the ole blog today, with lots of posts. I have a habit of starting posts, or jotting down notes pertaining to something I'd like to blog about, and then taking a long time to get to it, if I ever do. So I'm going to try and get caught up today/tonight, so I can head on vacation with a clean slate.
Since I'm coming up on my one year blogging anniversary (February 24), I decided to look at the monthly frequency of my posts. When I was on Blogger, I had both a personal blog (Half Eaten Cookies) and was also part of a collaborative blog (Bang the Drum Slowly). in July I switched over to Vox, and, while it wasn't quite love at first sight, overall I've been a big fan. The community-oriented aspect of Vox, and the ease of inserting media are the two best features. Now, when they just start making the template customizable, and allow you to add permanent links in the sidebar...
